Teaching Artist
My father was a high school history teacher, and my mom taught 5th - 6th grade. I’ve grown up with a sincere love of learning, appreciation of community and commitment to kindness. Whether as a Teaching Artist or an LAUSD Susbtitute Educator, my work in the classroom is rooted in compassion, connection, and meeting students where they are.

Testimonials
“Christine is a truly gifted yoga teacher. After her class I always feel 20 years younger, and 20 pounds lighter!”
“Christine’s chair yoga class is a lifesaver delivering health into my bedroom when I can’t get to the gym. She makes exercise fun, and I always feel free to work at my comfort level. So grateful because I get a total lift and new attitude by the end of the session.”
“She was able to create engaging, and age-appropriate curricula for the students that covered all the steps from story creation to the technical aspects of filming and editing short films. Her students were inspired and seemed to really enjoy the process. Every class resulted in a public screening of the films, and the students were visibly proud of their achievements. ”
“One of the most special projects I worked on with her was one where she assisted my entire 4th grade class in creating a video where they documented their virtual learning experience during the COVID-19 school closures. The students titled it, “The Last Real Face”. During the creative process, Christine instructed students on how to make backdrops, record, interview one another and edit the short documentary on their iPads. We were even able to show the final video on a large inflatable screen at a local park during a movie night. It was an unforgettable experience for my students and for myself as an educator. ”
